ANSI/ASME B16.5 Threaded Flange

Threaded pipe flanges are designed to be attached to pipes without the need for welding. These flanges have threads in the bore that match the external threads on the pipe. They are similar to slip-on pipe flanges but are used specifically with pipes that have external threads. Threaded flanges are ideal for situations where small diameters and high pressure are required. They are available in various materials, specifications, sizes, and grades.

Threaded pipe flanges are usually available with a raised face, flat face, or Ring Type Joint (RTJ) facing. For threaded pipe flanges under 400#, the standard raised face height is 1/16″. For flanges rated 400# and above, the raised face height is typically 1/4″.
